i strongly believe marijuana should be decriminalized all over the world.as for other drugs even tho i am an occasional user i think they should stay illegal because open access to drugs such as methamphetamine and cocaine would have terrible/uncontrollable concequences

If they are busting people who sign this petition, which they may well be doing world wide, then that is a gross breach of right to privacy and right to freedom of political viewpoint, and morally sick. This is a War on Drugs, a war that drug users never asked for nor wanted, and the methods used in it are often more disgusting than the worst side effects of the substance in question.

I believe that on a whole Marijuana should be legalized and controlled, like that of tobacco and booze. There should be a taxation as well. I do not use drugs, but for many people that have incurable diceases this would be a great relief. I would love to help with the growth of this said drug for MEDICAL PURPOSES ONLY.

I am opposed to the current uneducated, illogical, ill-informed basis upon which the international standard of Prohibition was created. I support the plan of "Harm Reduction" in treating drug addiction, production and procurement as a Public Health related issue and not a criminal one.

Prohibition is the worst way to control drug use. Where there is demand there will always be supply, and by allowing this demand to be regulated by an illicit market, you are both endangering the lives of, and criminalising, millions of innocent recreational and medical users.

cannabis is a recreational drug and has been proven to be less harmful to the body than tobacco and alcohol which are both legalised controlled drugs. If the UN has any real credibility and isnt just working on behalf of politicians like every other so called independant organisation these days, it would be devoting its time and power to creating peace, not creating criminals out of morally sound people.

Alcohol is a drug tobbaco is a drug, cafeine is a drug. All this years spending money trying to stop trafic for nothing.

I believe jailing and inprisoning people for possessing drugs is unconstitutional and that treatment for addicts would be the best alternative, and that others should have the right to privacy and freedom of choice. Legalizing certain subtances like pot especially, which is somewhat legal for medical use, and regulating, controlling , and taxing them, like alcohol and cigarettes, which are worse, would be the best thing to do.
