RUSSIA, Moscow. On May 15, the head of the delegation of Vietnam at the United Nations Nguen Thanh Chau on behalf of his government submitted to the UN Committee for nongovernmental organizations a protest in respect of the Transnational Radical Party (TRP), accusing it of contacts with terrorist groups. The accusation is caused by the speech of the member of the TRP Kok Ksor in April of this year, at the 58th session of the Commission on Human Rights in Geneva.

As the press release of the Russian branch of the TRP reads, the leader of Vietnamese Montagnards condemned in his speech prosecutions in respect of indigenous people of Southern Vietnam and conditions in which thousands of people from these tribes are forced to live in the Cambodian refugee camps. After a peaceful demonstration in last February, when Vietnamese Montagnards protested against confiscation of their land and violation of the right to religious freedom, Hanoi authorities declared state of emergency on the territory of residing of the Montagnards. In this region, any inspections of international agencies and independent experts were forbidden. In opinion of the TRP, such policies can lead to full extermination of this ethnic group. The Vietnamese government accuses the citizen of the USA Kok Ksor, former member of the United Front for Liberation of Oppressed Peoples, of being a terrorist recruited by the CIA, and carrying out activities threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Vietnam. The press release of Russian Radicals reads: "The communist propaganda of Hanoi gave such definition of active human rights activities of Kok Ksor who has always exposed violations of international agreements in the field of human rights on the part of Vietnamese leaders in respect of Vietnamese Montagnards".
