Workers Aid et le Comité Tchétchénie de Londres organisent, pour samedi
24 février, une reunion publique de solidarité avec les Tchétchènes. Xavier
Rousselin sera là pour parler du convoie de solidarité. Il y aura d'autres
prises de parole et une discussion autour du theme, comment poursuivre
notre soutien de la lutte des Tchétchènes pour l'auto-détermination et
pour mettre fin à l'agression et à l'occupation du pays par Moscou.
Workers Aid and the Chechnya Committee in London are holding a public
meeting of solidarity with the Chechens in London on Sat 24th Feb. Xavier
Rousselin will give a report on the lorry that he went with. There will
be other speakers and discussion about how to continue to support the
Chechens' struggle for self determination and an end to Moscow's aggression
and occupation.

Le Comité Tchétchénie de Paris organise un rassemblement pour samedi 24
février à 15 heures sur le parvis devant le centre Beaubourg à Paris.
C'est l'anniversaire de la déportation massive des Tchétchènes par Staline
le 23-02-1944, et bien sûr c'est pour attirer l'attention publique sur
la situation aujourd'hui, le refus honteux du Conseil de l'Europe de maintenir
une sanction même symbolique contre la Russie, et le silence qui couvre
les atrocités qui se poursuivent...
The Chechnya Committee of Paris is planning a rally in Paris on Febuary
24, at 3 pm, Beaubourg square, Paris. Its purpose is to commemorate the
anniversary of the mass deportation of Chechens under Stalin in 1944,
and to focus public attention on the current situation, the shameful refusal
of the Council of Europe to maintain even a symbolic sancion against Russia,
and the general silence which covers the continuing atrocities.

Strasbourg
Le Comité Tchétchénie de Strasbourg appelle à un rassemblement à l'endroit
où se trouvait l'ancienne synagogue détruite par les Nazis, place des
Halles quai de Paris, samedi 24 février à 18h. Des cierges seront allumés
en mémoire de la déportation du peuple tchétchène par Staline et en mémoire
des victimes de la sale guerre actuelle.
The Chechnya Committee of Strasbourg is organising a rally on Saturday
24 February on the site of the old synagogue which was destroyed by the
Nazis. Candles will be lit in memory of the deportation of the Chechen
people by Stalin, and to commemorate the victims of the current war.

(1) Le Comité Tchétchénie de Pologne (Komitet Polska-Czeczenia) organise,
avec des réfugiés tchétchènes en Pologne, un rassemblement le 23 février
pour commémorer la déportation des Tchétchènes et d'autres peuples en
1944. Il commencera à 13 heures au Musée de l'Indépendance, place Bankowy
à Varsovie, avec des performances artistiques par des artistes polonais
et tchétchènes. Il sera suivi d'une manifestation devant l'ambassade russe
(16h00 à 16h30).
The Chechnya Committee of Poland (Komitet Polska-Czeczenia) and Chechen
refugees in Poland will hold a meeting on February 23rd to commemorate
the deportation of Chechens and other nations in 1944. It will start at
1 p.m. in the Muzeum Niepodleglosci (Independence Museum) on Bankowy Square
in Warsaw, and will include some artistic events performed both by Polish
and Chechen artists. Afterwards, there will be a demonstration at the
Russian Embassy (from 4 to 4:30 pm).

(2) Le Centre d'Information Tchétchène et le Comité Pologne-Bélarus tiendront
une manifestation vendredi 23 février à 12 h devant le consulat russe
à Krakow, pour marquer l'anniversaire des déportations massives des Tchétchènes,
pour protester contre l'agression contre la Tchétchénie et pour protester
contre le soutien russe du régime de Lukashenka en Belarus. D'autres manifestations
auront lieu à Varsovie, à Minsk (Bélarus), à Kazan (Tatarstan) et à Tbilisi
(Georgie). Le vendredi 23 février, dans des mosquées à Gdansk et à Varsovie,
des prières seront prononcées pour la liberté de la Tchétchénie et la
Bélarus. Des Tatars Polonais tiendront des prières le dimanche 25 février.
The Chechen Information Centre and the Committee Poland-Belarus will hold
a demonstration on Friday, February 23 at 12.00 (noon) in front of the
Russian Consulate in Krakow, ul. Westerplatte 11. The demostration is
to mark the anniversary of mass deportations of Chechens, to protest against
the continuing aggression on Chechnya and also to protest against Russian
support to the Lukashenka's regime in Belarus. Similar demonstrations
(organised by different pro-Chechen organisations) are to be held in Warsaw,
Minsk (Belarus), Kazan (Tatarstan) and Tbilisi, (Georgia). Also on Friday
23rd February prayers will be held in Polish mosques in Gdansk and Warsaw.
The main intention of the prayers will be freedom for Chechnya and Belarus.
Polish Tatars will also hold prayers on Sunday 25th February.

23 février, journée de la Déportation. Ses deux réclamations de base :
le retrait immédiat, total et sans conditions des troupes russes de la
Tchétchénie, et l'autodétermination de la République.
The Swedish Committee for Chechnya (Svenska Tjetjenienkommittén) will
begin its life on Deportation Day, 23 February. Its two central demands
: an immediate, total and unconditional withdrawal of all Russian troops
from Chechnya, and self-determination for Chechnya.

humanitaire en Tchétchénie et pour commémorer la Journée de la Déportation.

The American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC) is organizing a Candlelight
Vigil for Peace in Chechnya on Friday, February 23, from 5pm to 6pm, to
raise concern about the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Chechnya and
to commemorate Deportation Day. The vigil will be held in front of the
Russian Embassy in Washington, DC (2650 Wisconsin Avenue, NW), and will
feature several distinguished guest speakers including a representative
from Amnesty International.
