MONDAY, MAY 5 - STREET TABLE OF RADICALS ON PUSHKINSKAYA SQUARE TO COLLECT SIGNATURES FOR INTERIM UNITED NATIONS ADMINISTRATION IN CHECHNYA


FOR REFORM OF UN CONVENTIONS ON DRUGS, AND UNDER TEN OTHER APPEALS AND PETITIONS FOR LIBERAL AND LIBERTARIAN REFORMS.

On Monday, May 5, from 17.00 to 20.00, on Pushkinskaya square in Moscow (in the garden at the restaurant McDonald's), the activists of the Transnational Radical Party and the "Club Khramov - Association for Libertarian Reforms" will organize a street table to collect signatures of citizens under the appeal to the Secretary General of the United Nations, and the Heads of State and of Government of the member countries of the United Nations "For an interim United Nations administration in Chechnya". This new appeal was initiated by the Radical Party on April 20, signatures are being collected under it on the website of the TRP www.radicalparty.org. More than 750 citizens from 45 countries of the world already joined this appeal. Among them: chairman of Andrey Sakharov Foundation Elena Bonner, writer, former political prisoner Vladimir Bukovsky, philosopher Andre Glucksmann, deputies of the European parliament Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Gianfranco Dell'Alba, Benedetto Della Vedova, Olivier Dupuis, Francois Zimeray, cinema producer Romain Goupil and others.

Besides this anti-war appeal, radicals will also collect signatures under appeals initiated by the TRP for the reform of UN conventions on drugs, for free and democratic Iraq, against female genital mutilations, and under 8 petitions for liberal and libertarian reforms, addressed to the Russian governmental bodies: for legalization of marijuana, for abolition of conscription, for Anglo-Saxon majority electoral reform, for abolition of state financing of parties, for the right of citizens to legislative initiative, for preservation of secular school, for legalization of prostitution, for the right to euthanasia.
