Thank you Madam President.

The Nonviolent Radical Party (NRP) is extremely concerned about the recent deaths of two Uyghur minors in detention and the attacks on religious schools in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), China. All three incidents fall against the backdrop of heightened security presence in Xinjiang since the death of 4 Uyghurs following clashes with police in Korla and the anniversary of a brutally suppressed peaceful protest in Urumqi on 5 July 2009 which caused ethnic unrest leaving hundreds dead.

We are pleased to forward the documents with which we have concluded the meeting of the General Council of the Nonviolent Radical Party, transnational and transarty on Sunday 22nd of November.

We are pleased to forward the documents with which we have concluded the meeting of the General Council on Sunday 22nd of November. We believe they can lay the foundation for the regained centrality of the Party and the convocation of a Congress capable of addressing the challenges of our times by the end of 2010.

Dear Mr. Pannella, Mr. Perduca, members of the general council, and all the comrades of the Party,

I feel very sorry for being unable to attend this general council meeting because of a series of affairs related to US President Obama’s visit to China. I feel it is a great loss to be unable to communicate with all of you. Thus, I am writing this letter to you say what is in my mind about the development of the party for your reference, and I wish to know your ideas as well.
