Dear Olivier!

Your courage and twenty-day hunger strike against the genocide of Chechens has broken down the wall of universal indifference. Your appeal has found its way to hearts and conscience of many people in Europe and America. And I hope they become your active comrades in the struggle for the termination of the bloodshed on the Chechen ground. But for this purpose you should preserve your health and forces.

Today, on St Valentine's day which became a symbol of love and good, I call on you to stop your hunger strike and to continue your struggle for justice and peace with the same determination you showed these days.
