Alma-Ata, January 28, 1991. - Zijahan Shajgeldinov, member of the Radical Party from Alma-Ata (Kazahstan), was trialed today for callecting signatures under transnational Radical petitions (NEWS NR # 3660). He was accused of "unsanctioned manifestation" and sentenced to fine of 50 roubles by court of Moscow district of Alma-Ata city. As it was explaned to Zijahan Shajgeldinov that it was necessary to obtain a special permission of Alma-Ata City Council for any action of that kind including callecting signatures.
