The evaluation of the guarantor committee, which is currently in south-eastern Asian countries to assess the management of money donated by Italiansto aid the peoples struck by the Tsunami on December 26, is positive. Speaking from Sri Lanka on Radio Radicale, Emma Bonino, who is part of the committee, stated that "it is going well. [...] Here in Colombo the aid of Italian donators is managed efficiently and excellently. What we have seen this morning is very encouraging. The money of Italians has been spent well despite the difficulties also due to a local government crisis." She also highlighted that the current mission in Sri Lanka, in addition to the guarantor committee, is also made up of representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Civil Protection, and five Italian citizens randomly drawn from the donators.
