RELAUNCHING MARCO PANNELLA’S MANIFESTO-APPEAL FOR A GREAT WORLD SATYAGRHA FOR PEACE. THE DELEGATION WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE 2ND WORLD PRIDE IN JERUSALEM ON 10 NOVEMBER.
From Tuesday 7 November to Sunday 12 November a delegation of the Transnational Radical Party, made up of Marco Cappato, European Deputy, Vice President of the Senate of the Transnational Radical Party and Sergio Rovasio, General Secretary of the Rosa nel Pugno group at the Chamber of Deputies, will be in Israel for a series of official meetings with personalities of the Israeli political and intellectual world and to participate in the 2nd World Pride in Jerusalem that will be held next 10 November.
During the stay information will be given on the proposal for Israel’s entry in the European Union, relaunched by Marco Pannella’s Manifesto-Appeal for a Great World Satyagraha for Peace signed by thousands of politicians, intellectuals and citizens of 65 countries around the world (www.radicalparty.org).
The delegation will meet, among others, Natan Sharansky, ex refusenik persecuted by the Soviet regime, former minister in various governments of the Israel State and author of the book ‘The Case for Democracy’; Tommy Lapid, founder of the anti-clerical Shinui party; Boaz Wachtel of the party for legalisation of cannabis ‘Alè Yarok’; the writer Abraham Yeoshua; Yigal Karmon founder of MEMRI, Middle East media monitoring centre; the directors of the Meretz party, the President of Jerusalem’s Open House, the promoting organisation of the 2nd World Pride.
On Saturday 11 November the delegation will hold an official meeting with the Italian community in Jerusalem, moderated by Professor Sergio Della Pergola, world famous demographer at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
