Second Session of the 39th Congress of the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational
I am delighted to confirm the convening of the Second Session of the 39th Congress of the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational and Transparty, in Rome on 8 - 11 December 2011. The second session will update the campaigns, such as those for the moratorium on capital punishment or for the universal ban on female genital mutilation that the Radical Party has promoted internationally for decades in collaboration with governments, parliamentarians, activists and organizations. Our Congress will provide an opportunity to address issues that have been at the centre of the First Session of the Congress which is took place in the middle of the Arab spring. We will work to enable international courts to advocate and promote Human rights which continue to be abused in the context of national states, even by democratic regimes.
At the same time, against the backdrop of an increasingly urgent need to develop policy responses to meet cross-border, local and regional challenges, we must ensure and strengthen the dedicated involvement of our members from all continents, in particular of long-standing member who have demonstrated steadfastly their belief in the project of a transnational and cross-party organization able to put at the centre of its political agenda the affirmation of rule of law both at the national and international level. We are grateful to each and every member who ha given support. Now it is time to adjust to this reality, by reforming our founding Charter.
At present we are working to get the most economically advantageous conditions to encourage maximum participation of members and activists. In the coming days you will receive all the information concerning the organization and logistics. I would be happy if you could your best to be with us in Rome for the entire duration of the congress and confirm your presence by email to email@example.com.
