The delegation will also carry out a Press Conference at the European Parliament on Wednesday, May 3rd at 2 PM, to raise awareness as to the critical situation and infrahuman conditions under which Cuban political prisoners are held in Castro’s prisons and the brutal repression of pro-democracy and human rights’ activists being unleashed by the regime in the island, including the most recent violent physical aggression perpetrated by Castro’s political police on April 25th, 2006 against Martha Beatriz Roque Cabello, one of the leaders of the Assembly to Promote Civil Society in Cuba.
