Letter to the CG members

Dear,
Following up to what decided at our last meeting of 20, 21 and 22 November 2009, we are pleased to convene the next session of the General Council of the NRPTT in Rome from 28 to 30 May.
On this occasion, we will need to address the urgent issues arose last November, as well as those that were at the center of exchanges with some of you, concerning the urgent reorganization of the Party.
Among those in particular, there is the preparatory work needed to hold another General Council by the end of the summer and the convening of the 39th Congress by November 2010.
We would therefore urge you to do the impossible (what possible is done by many) to be in Rome from the evening of Thursday 27 May till the entire day of Sunday 30 May, because we intend to propose the devolution of responsibilities and tasks both for geo-political areas and for political themes and objectives to some of you.
For the next months, we will need to strengthen and enrich the participation and the involvement of new members and activists around the world to reach a critical mass of parliamentarians and elected officials, of politicians and intellectuals as well as representatives social classes and groups, oppressed or non represented peoples, persecuted groups, advocates and movements, and nonviolent leaders.
Extraordinarily, together with us those days, there will be the members of the UNPO (Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization) that will hold (in Rome) their General Assembly. It will be another moment to share ideas on the possible coordination of common initiatives - both on general and specific issues – for the promotion of fundamental human rights and a better structuring of the decennial relationship that links our Party to that organization.
We hope to receive soon the confirmation of your presence and wish you all the best for the upcoming festivities, where they will be celebrated.
Yours,
Marco Pannella, Maurizio Turco, Matteo Mecacci, Marco Perduca
