Italian MEP Olivier Dupuis, has campaigned for five years for Giovanni di Stefano to be investigated in Italy and by prosecutors at The Hague.

Dupuis has demanded that di Stefano divulge what he knows about ethnic cleansing in Serbia.

The Dundee director was at the heart of Milosevic's regime and best man at Arkan's wedding.

Four years ago, Dupuis called on the Italian authorities to question him about Arkan's assassination.

At the time di Stefano was in a Rome jail awaiting extradition to the UK to face fraud charges later dropped.

The Radical Party MEP said: ''He can provide lots of information regarding Arkan's illicit trafficking and crimes committed by Milosevic's regime.

''It is extremely important that Mr di Stefano is interrogated at The Hague.''
