On the initiative of

the Lao Movement for Human Rights,
and the Forum Asia Democracy


demonstrations will be held on 26 October 2003
outside the embassies of Lao P.D.R in
Brussels, Canberra, Moscow, Paris and Washington


in favour of democracy, freedom and national reconciliation in Laos,
against persecution of ethnic minorities and religious repression

and for the immediate release of the 5 leaders
of the 26 October 1999 Movement,
Thongpaseuth Keuakoun, Seng-Aloun Phengphanh,
Khamphouvieng Sisa-At, Bouavanh Chanmanivong and Keochay,
who have not been heard of since they were arrested in October 1999.


The demonstrations will be held on Saturday 26 October 2003
the fourth anniversary of the 26 October 1999 Movement in Vientiane.
