Human rights: Pannella, tomorrow I go to the UN to request to speak with China

"Last night, unexpectedly, I had to decide to go to New York tomorrow and for this reason, after having suspended my thirst strike three days ago, I had to concede to the doctors following me to start eating again in an almost normal manner. I have the intention, from tomorrow onwards, to dedicate my time mainly to the Radical Party and I go to New York, hoping to get in contact with China at the UN, and I hope they alerted the Chinese ambassadors", Marco Pannella said during his weekly conversation on Radio Radicale. Pannella started this last hunger strike on the 1st of May as a part of the satyagraha for legality, justice and the prisons.
"Tomorrow I go to New York - Pannella explained - to try to help China, for the Beijing protest against the Uyghur, the Tibetans and against the Radicals, against Rebiya Kadeer and the Dalai Lama, both members of the Radical Party, which is guilty, from China's point of view, of letting the Uyghur and Tibetans take the floor at the UN, as it did for the Chechens. I would like to explain to China that, as we want a light federation for Europe, the Tibetans and Uyghur want it for China. I want to prove that the Tibetans and Uyghur do not have the typical reflex of other slaves who, in hating their masters, want to become masters themselves.
I go there to invite China to look and consider recent events: I am referring to the statements made by Rebiya Kadeer for the Uyghur, and by the Dalai Lama for the Tibetans a month ago in Bolzano, when he said he hoped Beijing would do as Rome does with Bolzano and Trentino, meaning autonomy and not independence. Both (Rebiya Kadeer and the Dalai Lama) have stated they want to fight first and foremost for the freedom and democracy of the Han (the Chinese population which is historically in power), and that as such they do not want national independence, but they ask for democracy to grow for the Han as well as for the Uyghur and the Tibetans".
