Cambodia to lose U.S. quota bonus in 2005

PHNOM PENH — A U.S. official said Friday that Cambodia will in 2005 lose its quota bonus and instead must compete head-on with China.
"Starting in 2005, Cambodia will no longer enjoy special access to American markets and it must compete directly with large textile producers like China," said George White, director of the Office of International Labor Affairs of the U.S. State Department. (Kyodo News)
