39° Congress of The Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational e Transparty. Recommendation on Western Balochistan


TRP 39th Congress of the Nonviolent Radical Party
February 17-20 2011

The Nonviolent Radical Party 39th Congress, as held in Chianciano, Italy from 17 – 20 February 2011:

Expresses its solidarity with all members, associates and friends of the Nonviolent Radical Party who struggle to address oppression and rights violations of nations and peoples around the world, confirming that the struggle of each is a struggle not only for the rights and freedoms of their own people, but a struggle to strengthen and further the cause of freedom and democracy everywhere;
Reaffirms their commitment to the principles of democracy, nonviolence, self-determination, and preservation of the environment;
Understands the underlying motives behind racial, ethnic, religious and gender discrimination are political in nature, designed to oppress and silence a people for the benefit of another.
Believes that part compliance with international treaties and conventions amount to non-compliance and that exception or exclusion of certain articles should not be tolerated.
Reaffirms strong condemnation of the use of the death penalty especially in cases where adequate judicial procedure and transparency is lacking, and confirms their commitment to the struggle for an immediate and global moratorium on its use with the intention to being about absolute abolition.

The 39th Congress of the Nonviolent Radical Party hereby:

Reminds the international community that most states are multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-lingual, stressing in this context the continued importance of safe-guarding and respecting the rights all nations and peoples;

Reiterates to the international community and the UN Human Rights Council that security and stability everywhere, especially in the Middle East, depends on respect for the collective rights of all nations and peoples, and assurances of their right to partake in the political process;

Demands that the UN and EU take firm actions in order to put pressure on the Iranian regime to halt its practice of religious suppression and forced conversion of Sunnis to Shiism.

Requests that the UN and EU put pressure on the Iranian government to halt the development and testing of missiles in Balochistan.

Calls for the immediate cessation of state-sponsored executions, which have numbered at least 86 in Iran since the start of 2011 alone, with many more alleged unreported.

Demands the release all political activists and the establishment of norms of freedom of association, freedom of speech and access to information as enshrined in multiple international treaties and within the Iranian constitution.

Demands the immediate abolition of the use of the death penalty which is disproportionately used in cases brought against national, non-dominant ethnicities and religions in Iran, without due process or judicial transparency and which includes significant numbers of women, Sunni religious leaders and children.
