Report of the presence of the radical delegation in Kiev

A delegation of the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational and Transparty – with Antonio Stango, Laura Harth and Stefano Marrella for Radio Radicale – arrived in Kiev on the morning of 21 February, the dat following the major clashes of 18 to 20 February between the protesters and the police in Independence Square – “Euromaidan” – in Kiev, and remained until the morning of 26 February.

The Radical Party contributes to Italy's UPR with critique on the Rule of Law

On 15 March 2014, The Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty submitted a document to the United Nations in Geneva that contains 19 questions for Italy's second Universal Periodic Review (UPR) before the UN Council on Human Rights schedule for October 2014 - the first was in 2010.

UPR/Italy, The Radical Party submits 19 questions for Italy's review by the UN Council on Human Rights

The Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty (NRPTT) wishes to avail itself of the opportunity provided by the UPR submission system to submit a series of questions concerning Italy, which review is scheduled for later in the year.

The NRPTT, formerly registered under the name of Transnational Radical Party, is a category 1 non-governmental organization in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Although the delegates’ primary function is to ratify decisions made by Communist Party leaders, the occasion of the two assemblies often stokes debate on policy reforms.

Ukraine: NPWJ and NRPTT call for ICC Ratification

Today, the Ukranian Parliament has voted to send fugitive President Viktor Yanukovich, former interior minister Vitaly Zakharchenko and former prosecutor-general Viktor Pshonka to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity allegedly committed between 30 November 2013 and 22 February 2014.

Cambodia: Marco Pannella at the UN in Geneva with the democratic opposition to denounce human rights violations and the recent electoral process.

From the early afternoon of Tuesday, 24 September, Marco Pannella will take part in a rally organised by the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational Transparty and the Cambodian community in Europe. The rally is being convened in the square in front of the Palais des Nations in Geneva on the occasion of the special dialogue that the UN Human Rights Council will hold throughout the day of 24 September to discuss the situation in Cambodia.

Silvio Berlusconi takes fight for survival to Italy’s beaches

Silvio Berlusconi’s centre-right party is launching a nationwide summer campaign, in an effort to revitalise support for the group and its founder, sentenced for tax fraud by Italy’s Supreme Court earlier this month.

NRPTT at the 23rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva

The Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty, continues to follow the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, attending the sessions and organizing, at the ‘Palais des Nations’, side events on the situation of human rights in several countries. During the 23rd session, in June, the leader of the party Marco Pannella was present in Geneva as well.
 
Pannella met with several NGOs representatives and, among else, with Tahar Boumedra, former United Nations Human Rights Section Chief in Iraq.

Cambodia: NRPTT and NPWJ welcome Royal Pardon for Sam Rainsy as a small step on the road to democracy

On 12 July 2013, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni granted pardon to Sam Rainsy, leader of the Cambodian opposition and member of the General Council of the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty.
