Lombardy: "ecclesial membership" to receive taxpayer money

Last January, more than 3.500 citizens of the Campania region turned to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) with about 40 collective complaints on the violation of their right to life by Italy. The appeals regard the number of deaths in a limited geographical area between Naples and Caserta; deaths due to the very high pollution in the area, a problem the Italian State has ignored for years.

On Sunday June 28 everything was ready for the 13th edition of Istanbul Gay Pride, the biggest LGBTI rights event in Turkey, in Southeast Europe and in the whole Middle East. A peaceful and joyful crowd, waiving rainbow coloured flags, dancing and chanting slogans, has gathered in Taksim square ready to start marching for LGBTI rights and pride parade. At the very last moment, Istanbul Governor decided to ban the parade stating no permission from the authorities have been released.
