EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT: ON KOSOVO THE SAME OLD SOCIALIST BEHAVIOR OF MUNICH 1938

Strasbourg, 18 September 1998 - "the Socialist group to the European Parliament, faithful to the Munich '38 spirit, has ditched a EP resolution on Kosovo. What did this revolutionary resolution asked? That the Council take all the necessary measures to allow the European Union to be ready to a military intervention in Kosovo.

"Evidently, 12 years of the Belgrade National-Communist regime, the ferocious oppression of the Serb people, the war of aggression against Croatia, 200,000 deaths and 2 million refugees in Bosnia, haven't taught them anything. Who knows what 250,000 refugees of Kosovo, 200 villages destroyed, a humanitarian catastrophe can suggest them? Perhaps that what is urgent is to do nothing! This is the pace of the 'liberal revolution' of the European left…"
